Backstory:

After Eric Delko's best friend Tim Speedle was killed in the line-of-duty, Ryan Wolfe joined the day shift of Miami-Dade CSI. Ryan majored in Chemistry at Boston College, and his desire to work out of his comfort zone drove him to Miami to enter the field of law enforcement.

Working style:

Function: CSI Level one
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 170 lbs
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Hazel
Race: Caucasian
DOB: March 3 1976
Education: B.S. in Chemistry, Boston University
Special Skills: Trace
Marital Status: Single

Ryan's need for perfection and his attention to details make him the best at what he is.

Personal style:

Fast, smart, arrogant some times. As his character evolves and he begins to emulate Horatio, the most obvious sign of this being his dressing style-- he went from t-shirts and jeans to sharp suits that are similar to those that Horatio wears.

Personal demons:

  • OCD like tendencies have been mentioned, though it's never actually been confirmed that he actually has OCD, Correction...he said it himself that he had OCD in episode 303: Under the Influence. he said "I'm a little OCD."
  • Ryan faced some eye trouble after being shot by a nail gun in episode 408: Nailed
  • Has problems with gambling, as first noted in the episode 503: Death Pool 100 and then resurfaces in episode 522: Burned

Relationships:

  • He had a controversial relationship with an ambitious reporter Erica Sikes. Though it was never completely confirmed, it is assumed that the two were dating.
  • He has taken Natalia Boa Vista on at least one date (Mexican Wrestling!)
  • Has a very volatile relationship with Eric Delko-- the two often clash
  • Has something of a student/mentor relationship with Calleigh Duquesne
  • Looks up to Horatio-- this is made obvious through the manner in which Ryan has evolved over his time on the show. (i.e. the way he dresses is most obvious, but more subtly in the way he handles cases.

Trivia:

  • He graduated at the top of his Academy Class
  • Has one Uncle in Miami - Ron
  • Has a niece in Miami though she is as yet not named
  • Brother is a pro sportcar racer
  • His uncle was a safe cracker and he taught Ryan when he was eleven.

Quotes:

  • "Just for the record, I didn't co-operate."
  • "Havne't you ever pushed aside a dinner plate to get some?"
  • "I have a keen grasp of the obvious"
  • "that must have been one kinky party!"

(About Erika Sikes)

Cooper: She's hot.
Wolfe: She's a case against the first amendment.

Ryan Wolfe: New mafia, my ass!
Wolfe: Any info on our John Doe from the water?
Alexx: No soot in his lungs; no asophagial burning.
Wolfe: He was already dead when he got on the Gannon's boat.
Alexx: (feigned pride of his conclusion) Look at my boy, all grown up.

Wolfe: 500 bucks? For a recorder? Are you kidding, what, is it dipped in gold?

Wolfe: Are those rolling papers?
Delko: They're not mine. Someone must have borrowed my kit.
Wolfe: (snide) We've really gotta crack down on the pot smoking kit thieves around here.

Ryan: Oh, there he is, nice of you to show up.
Eric: What's your problem, Wolfe?
Ryan: Must be nice working on Delko Time. Cherry-pick cases, show up when you want.

(Putting on protective glasses to try firing the nail gun)
Wolfe: (scoffing) Yeah, like these things are gonna stop a nail.

Delko: Have you seen Peter Elliott?
Wolfe: Is that the federal guy with the salt-and-pepper hair? Yeah he poked his head in, wanted to get to the documents lab.
Delko: And you sent him to the print lab instead, right?
Wolfe: Yeah, of course.

Boa Vista: What's that? Plan B?
Wolfe: More like Plan W.

Ryan: Everything old is new again

Cooper: Don't tell anyone this, but I think she's got a thing for H.
Wolfe: Cooper, are you writing a blog? I've got a suspect on ice!

Wolfe: I liked your Erika Sykes exclusive about finding Rowe's weights.
Delko: I didn't say any of that to her, she made it all up.
Wolfe: Huh, where have I heard that before? Oh that's right, I've said the same thing.
Delko: Give it a rest, Wolfe.
Wolfe: Equal time, bro. Equal time.

(Ryan Drops Papers)
Alexx: Are you gonna pick those up?
Ryan:My hands... i Cant feel my hands
Alexx: (nervous laugh)
Your messing with me
Ryan: no, i cant feel my hands
Alexx: I know what to do
Ryan: Its the curse!! its the curse!!
