Suspect(s): 3, narrowed to 2 and finally 1, the mother.

Whodunit: Mom did the priest because he wanted to report that the son did dad while defending her. She feels that, since her boy confessed to the deed while with the priest, it shouldn't be reported at all.

From the field: A dead priest is found on the floor of his home in a pool of blood.

• Megan and Calleigh are first to arrive and Calleigh finds two casings for what initially appears to be three shots fired.
  

From the morgue:

• Alexx determines that there were only two bullets fired at the priest. The first passing through him and the second ricocheting from his rib cage, through his shoulder, and from there through his chest wall and into his upper thigh.
• When she receives dad's body, Alexx determines that he was also shot; this time by a pistol.
  

From the lab:

• Lip balm found on a glass point the first finger at the boy, but blood found in a blessing fount in the sanctuary pins this one firmly on mom.
• Bloody clothes buried in the ground at the back of the house, along with a scuffed sole, prove that son murdered father.
