Episode Recap: This episode begins with a young male in his bedroom enjoying a little down time with a magazine. He begins to hear a noise and gets up to investigate. He believes the noise is coming from his light fixture and grabs it to see. Out of the fixture, a ton of maggots fall onto him.

Horatio, Speed, and Calleigh are on the scene and there is a short conversation about how Eric was supposed to be there but was “stuck in traffic.”

Alexx is processing the body when Horatio notices that the victim is sweating. The girl is alive.

Alexx is disturbed that she didn’t know the girl was alive but Speed tries to reassure her. He finds a stack of wood that helps them with the time line. They find the girls wallet and find that her name is Peg Donovan, a previous rape victim.

On the scene the team also finds the murder weapon - a piece of wood with hair and tissue on it. Also they find a hole in the wall that will give them an estimate of how tall the suspect is.

Horatio goes to a Georgia prison to talk to the man who was convicted of raping Peg Donovan years ago. He denies being involved but seems guilty. When Horatio tells him he believes Shaw is guilty: Shaw says, “Prove it.” And Horatio responds, “Working on it.”

Eric talks to Speed showing remorse for not being on the scene and having Calleigh have to cover for him. He worries that the victim may have died and it would have been his fault for not being on time to the scene. Speed: “So’s Calleigh mad at you?” Eric: “I don’t know I can’t tell.” Speed “Then she’s probably mad at you.”

Hagen comes in to where Calleigh is working, and we get to see a little flirting. Hagen tells Calleigh that Peg never left her home except to go to a Rape Support Group Meeting. They go to the meeting place and talk to a counselor who tells them who Peg left the last meeting with. She also gives them a suit that may have DNA from the mystery woman on it.

Horatio decides to stay at the Georgia prison in case Shaw gets out at his parole hearing. He gets the guest log and finds a name: Crystal Sherwood which Yelina finds out was a juror on his trial.

Velera processes the DNA from the scene with the DNA from the suit that the rape counselor gave and it is a match. Mystery woman was at the crime scene.

They interrogate Crystal and she admits to going to the rape support meeting and luring Peg into a deserted apartment and locking her in.

Dirt from the crime scene has Vidalia onion matter in it which leads the team back to the prison. Horatio interrogates Officer Bailey.

They interrogate Crystal again and she identifies Bailey as a guard at the prison.

Speed goes to talk to Shaw’s eighteen year old son Chuck. Finds out that the kid had been calling Peg because he thinks she is a liar. Speed notices that Chuck has a pepper spray burn on his face and tests it against the pepper spray Peg carried. When faced with proof that Peg had sprayed him Chuck admits to going to talk to her and that she freaked out and he left. Speed gives him photos and case file from the rape.

Peg wakes up at the hospital and Calleigh shows her a picture of Crystal who she identifies as Crystal but she can’t do anymore. Chuck realizes his dad is guilty and admits to paying a guard money to help his dad but says he didn’t know it was for Peg’s murder.

Horatio tries to get an extension on the parole hearing but they won’t do it.

Eric realizes that they need Peg’s clothes from the hospital for evidence and they find some.

Peg’s cell phone shows them that she tried to call 911 and they find a call that is just a horrible loud pitched noise.

Horatio finds a guard that has a hearing aide that when near the phone lets off a high pitch noise that matches the call.

The guard then admits to hurting Peg because Shaw had information on him that would end his career and his marriage. Horatio then arrests Shaw in the middle of his parole hearing.

Horatio goes to the hospital to tell Peg that Shaw is put away for good and will never be able to hurt her again.

Personnel issues:
Eric didn't show in the crime scene and Calleigh covered for him.Later they meet at the lab and Eric says thank you to Calleigh but she seems to be angry cause Eric acted immature by not showing on time and the victim could have died because of it.
Later in lab, Speed askes Eric if Calleigh is still angry, and Eric says he couldn't tell. Speed says that then she is still probably angry.
