Episode Recap: This episode starts with four friends getting ready to go fishing. They notice a woman in the water hanging onto a buoy and then notice in horror that she is about to be eaten by a shark.
Alexx tells Yelina and Horatio about the female that has been pulled out of the water. It seems she had been shot before the shark killed her. The team finds that the woman has a wire on her and check to see if anyone from witness protection or some other program has been reported missing.
They find out that the woman’s name is Cindy and that she works for an organization called Cheating Hearts Inc. and they go to investigate.
Eric finds the victims car and from there they get a new suspect: Carl Purdue.
The team finds that he is innocent of the murder but did vandalize the victim’s car.
Eric then finds evidence that one of their own may be involved. A fingerprint on the victim’s key car implicates Frank Tripp.
Eric talks to Tripp about it and later asks Calleigh for advice about his problem. Eventually Eric finds that Tripp is in fact innocent but not before Horatio tells him that he should always come to him with stuff like this.
They find another suspect named Matt Warner, he was a target of Cindy’s from Cheating Hearts Inc. Matt says that he and Cindy were in love and that the reason he was a DNA match to the semen found on the victim is because they were lovers. Horatio goes to Matt’s wife’s house and finds evidence that Matt had stayed there the previous night.
Meanwhile Bruno; the owner of Cheating Hearts Inc. is interrogated again about his possible involvement in the murder.
Calleigh matches the gun found at Matt’s wives house with the gun used to kill Cindy. Tyler finds evidence in the tape found that helps the team figure out what happened.
Horatio has Alexx perform a pregnancy test on the victim and they find that Horatio’s suspicions are true Cindy was pregnant. They talk to Matt’s wife and tell her how they think it all happened and show her the evidence they have against her.
The episode ends with Horatio talking to Tripp in a bar.
