actually, "bird brain" is a serious misnomer! I should introduce you to Pierre - my adopted African Grey Parrot who is smart! I swear, you look into his eyes and you can see the wheels turning. And his vocabulary is incredible. He will say things just at the right moment - it's uncanny and eerie! I doubt this is simple repetition of words. I mean, I can be having a 'heated discussion' with someone and the bird will say something like "oh, boy" - or he'll say "hello" when the phone rings. I can cite other instances and I really doubt it's just coincidence. I heard something that many of the parrots do have the intelligence of a 5th grader. And to cite another situation - I had the pleasure of rescuing a fledgling crow who either fell out of its nest or was kicked out. Anyway, you want to talk smart? Very cool bird that loved to play with my paint brushes and cuddle on my shoulder. I named him Raven - yeah, ok not very original.

For me, all I really need is a computer with internet, my camera, my pets, and I'd be a happy camper. Yeah, ok the garden too - gotta eat!
