Eric's been there from the beginning. Ryan got lucky because Horatio needed an impartial CSI to investigate the case involving Calleigh's dad, Cornwall and the team had just lost Speedle. Eric, Calleigh, and Horatio understand each other. It will ALWAYS be Eric. No question.
