You must not be afraid about horses, even though youn think they are big, they are attentive to your fear and they feel it. Have you seen the movie with Robert Redford "the man who whispered in the ear of horses" (french title)? And indeed here is a horse! Be gentle and attentive to those needs and it will be more nice companions. To my mares (I have 5 of it) I sing some songs, they love it! And when I prepared my favorite mare to friends for a walk, I expect they are going far enough, I climbed on the hill near and I begin to sing the strongest possible and as soon as she hears my voice, my mare immediately turn half to come back to find myself ,without anyone can stop it. It makes me laugh a lot, my friends themselves much less laugh, therefore nobody wants to take it if I am around. This is a horse! An animal generous with a lot of heart and very intuitive, but it is also an animal that can become very dangerous if not well treated (I had adopt a filly that had been badly treated , even though she now seems fresh, I am always wary of their reactions, and I am always careful never to turn their backs). So Tanya go to the horses with confidence and you will see that with the dog, it is the best friend of man. And be careful if you say the word horse I could talk about it for lot of hours. In fact does D/C loves horses ? and does he knows to ride? do you know that?
