Apr 26 2008, 1:00 PM EDT I sincerely hope that Khandi and the producers can work out their creative differences, so she may remain an integral part of CSI Miami. It would be an utter shame to lose such a talented woman altogether. Perhaps a promotion to Chief of Medical Ops as a replacement for the man who'll be retiring is in order now. That way, her longer absences from the show can be put down to her new duties, instead of killing her off like they did with Tim Speedle. She's a class act who deserves a dignified denouement from the show, if in fact she's actually leaving it; and not just taking on duties behind the camera instead. Aug 2 2008, 4:55 PM EDT I agree. They need to bring Alex back. She was one of the most interesting characters on the show. I am sure that the show's ratings will drop now that Alex is gone. CBS better try to work something out with Khandi Alexander to get Alex back on board. No actress/actor will ever fill her shoes. She is the greatest. Aug 2 2008, 5:24 PM EDT I really liked her quirkiness with the dead. She spoke to them as though they lived and they seemed to connect with her in a similar fashion! LOL:) Whatever she did, she always seemed to pull out a critical clue at a pivotal moment and did it with great flare. She had Horatio's back, helped keep the younger team members in their places when needed, and did all of it with a maternal instinct that was second to none. I suspect that Calleigh and Eric in particular will be totally at sea without their 'mom' in sight. Yes, they're competent and able investigators, but both tend to let the less wonderful aspects of their characters hold sway without her around to keep them straight. CBS, this is for you! Please, please, please bend a little and deepen her character! She needed more support than you gave her at the end, and the fans know that's why she left in the end. Now you're bringing in a stranger and hoping we'll accept her; I can't say for sure that'll happen, especially if it's a guy instead of a lady. Do you find this valuable? |
