Eric Delko's Fate?

OMG, I just found this on E-OnlineAs E! News first reported yesterday, Adam Rodriguez may not be returning to CSI: Miami full-time for season eight. When we caught up with Rodriguez's Miami costar Emily Procter at the CBS/CW/Showtime TCA party on Monday and asked about further romantic developments between her character, Calleigh Duquesne, and Rodriguez's Eric Delko, Emily told us exclusively, "I think my romance is in jeopardy. I think we were in some poor contract negotiations." What?! What does this mean for the show, the season-eight premiere and the future of Eric Delko? Here's what we're hearing... Officially, CBS is declining comment on Adam's future on the show, but sources close to the show say, "He'll be back for a limited engagement, but we're not exactly sure in what form Delko will appear." Long story short, it sounds like Delko won't be around full-time for season eight. When we asked Emily what she could share about the already filmed season-eight premiere, she told us, "It's going to be an interesting year. There are a lot of people back. A lot of people who are back and maybe not permanently. And we're all looking younger." Younger, huh? Could season eight begin with a flashback? "Maybe," said Emily. "A flashback that I spent a lot of time going like this, 'Do I look younger in this scene if I clap?' and 'Whee! We solved it! Do I look really young?' In terms of a season opener, this is my favorite. There's some drama." What about Emily herself? Is she still happy with the show? The star tells us, "It's kind of like a boyfriend that you didn't expect to end up with but you end up going, 'This is amazing.' I had no idea. It's a good group. We laugh a lot. I have to say, we just really get along, which after eight years, is nice. We're happy to see each other after the summer." Emily Procter and Adam Rodriguez are both original castmembers of the long-running procedural series. CSI: Miami's seventh-season finale ended with the revelation that Calleigh Duquesne may have accidentally shot Eric Delko.

noooo!!! delko can't leave DDDD8, it'll ruin the cast, and if thats true, eddie is really replacing eric, then i'll hate his charactor for sure!!! there wouldn't be no hardy boys no more D8

UPDATES!!!!!!!From CSI Files: "CSI: Miami actor Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) will return for the show's eighth season, but he will not stick around. As CSI Files previously reported, Rodriguez's future with Miami is not set in stone. Now TV Guide Magazine reveals that Rodriguez will be back in the season eight premiere, but he will not remain on the show for the entire season. A source close to the actor indicated that Rodriguez will hopefully film a multi-episode arc before saying goodbye, but it is possible that he may not appear beyond the season premiere. It was previously reported that Rory Cochrane (Timothy "Speed" Speedle) was approached to appear in the season eight premiere's flashback to 1997. TV Guide Magazine's source said the possibility may still be on the table, but it is not known whether Cochrane will sign on. "He's very close to Adam," the source said. "Unless it's okay with Adam, he will not do it." CBS and Rodriguez have issued no comment about Rodriguez's exit or Cochrane's possible return. The season premiere will feature the first look at Eddie Cibrian (Jesse Cardoza), the newest addition to the Miami cast. Former star Khandi Alexander (Dr Alexx Woods) will return for the premiere when Delko's injuries from the season seven finale, "Seeing Red", send him to the ER." I hate to say it, but I believe Calleigh is the death for a character LOL. First John Hagen then Peter Elliott and Jake Berkley and now Eric Delko. I guess we know if Calleigh dates anyone else, their character will be short lived LOL. Sorry I am just trying to lighten the mood with all this saddness.Jen Do you find this valuable? |

haha it is funny! Well in all fairness she is the one suffering with it all. Poor Cal, but man I wish he wouldn't go, this show wont be the same, I'm actually really upset.
